Greek goddess of wisdom and intelligence, the patron of artisans and artisanship. Athena excelled in manual skills, decoration, weaving, floristry and music.

Gifted as she was with a wide array of artistic talents, Athena could teach women manual skills of any kind.

Composition of the bouquet : Roses orange, Viburnum, Cetaire, Pito Sporum

Depending on the season and our stock levels, we may have to replace one variety of flower with another. In order to offer you the highest quality of service, we always match the colour of your chosen bouquet.

The vase used in this photo is purely used for illustrative purposes and is not for sale at this time.

Your bouquet is wrapped in tissue paper to safeguard the delicate petals. It is then covered in thick, high-quality paper to protect it during transit. The colour of the wrapping complements that of the flowers and brings out the beauty of the bouquet.

We finish the bouquet with a ribbon and a pearl head pin.

The message to accompany your bouquet is handwritten with a quill on a luxury card.

Gilles Sieg has three top tips for ensuring that your bouquets stay beautiful for longer:

Water: replace the water in your vase every morning with fresh water. Flowers absorb fresh water more easily than lukewarm water. Ensure that the vase is three-quarters full and that the level of the water remains constant.

Flower arrangements built upon floral foam should be watered with cold water every day, so that the foam stays moist.

Caring for leaves: remove dead leaves that are in contact with the water; do the same for wilted flowers, as these tend to accelerate flowers’ decomposition. After three days, remove around 2cm from the stems and trim to a point by cutting diagonally. This will improve water uptake.

If your bouquet contains lilies, remember to remove the stamens as soon as the buds have opened. Gently pick them out with your fingers and put them in a bin bag to avoid stains. Do not touch your face with your hands.

Setting: flowers bloom in an atmosphere between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius. This means that you should not place your flowers next to a source of excessive heat, such as a sunlit window, a lamp, a computer or a radiator in the winter. Instead, choose a cool spot with natural light and shelter from draughts.

As you can see, your flowers need your help to stay beautiful for as long as possible.
